Another thing down! We'll be engaging Yumetori for my wedding's live band. :) Met Ariel over Starbucks and she was a really sweet gal. She was pretty surprised that I found them, considering that they haven't set up their website and stuffs yet, haha! The Power of Google yo. She has also sung for other bands like A Little Dream, and she has a really nice voice. I'm getting a 3-pc band with her as the vocalist, a keyboardist and a guitarist, and will be engaging their emcee service as well. They'll drop by the place to check out the sound system and everything during our food-tasting session sometime in October. :)

Time to work out the song list!

Having a live band is pretty important to us, because music works wonders for creating the ambiance of love... and we're both simply music lovers. Hope our guests enjoy it!

I seriously DO think that this is the best part of pre-wedding preps - picking out your wedding dress! :D Well, I never really had a "dream wedding dress" per se, but I do have a preference for tulle which was a pretty simple criteria.

At about 2pm, we arrived at my bridal studio and I told Pei Wen (who is my coordinator btw) what kind of gowns I liked. Angela and Joey came along, and I don't think I would know what to do without them! At least they're able to give more constructive feedback than the hubs who only says stuff like "OK" and "Nice!" and "Not bad!". D: But anyways it was the most enjoyable experience.

Think I tried about 10 rounds of wedding gowns, and I finally decided on this one!

I majorly photoshopped my arm but didn't do a very good job... Too lazy to perfect it. Time to lose some flab. -_- I also had this really kooky smile for some reason. How come no one told me I was smiling stupidly?! Must be the lace. I love the lace details at the bottom of the skirt. The skirt was pretty bling with sequins(?) or something in the under-lying layer of tulle. In the daytime, the bling will be pretty and understated. At night, when spotlight is cast on meh, the sequins will catch the light and I WILL BE A SUPER DA-BLING BRIDE! :D Shiny is good, hiak hiak.

Okay and so I picked this.

I was more worried about the selection of evening gowns... they either have too much details (somehow other girls look good in detailed gowns but I will look like a getai singer!), or they look like D&D dresses (not too bad either, if you're going for simple and classy)... when I didn't know what to do with myself, my dear coordinator brought out this new gown which I think will be in the September collection. OH MY HEART!

Fleshy girls can wear chio gowns too ok. They have other chio gowns but personally I feel this one beats the rest hands down. I like the uniqueness of the colour, the chocolate-coloured overlay on the skirt, the A-line neckline, and the motif-ish waist part, whatever that's called. It's perfect. Okay, I admit that both my wedding and evening gowns look essentially the same but WHAT THE HECK I just prefer puffy gowns to hide my huge ass - makes me feel more confident too. The skirt is actually also glittery from underneath (can't see from the picture though), so I will be DA-BLING! again for my second march-in!!! Hiaks.

I feel like a princess - albeit a size 14 one. :D
