Plans for a Paradise!

We're heading to Bali next month for our mini-moon! (the husband insists that it's just Part 1 of a honeymoon series but this term is more convenient and easy-to-understand LOL)

The timing was right - there was a promo by SQ and we bought tickets at like $260 per pax (whee!). Then I found a deal from Deal.com for a lovely resort called Puri Bagus Candidasa for $370 for two pax (including their sky high taxes of 21%) for three nights and so I booked it too. Being the miser I am, I booked an additional night through Agoda.com because it's cheaper than direct booking. 

The deal also includes a 1-hour Balinese massage and a lomantic candlelight dinner. Very honeymoon-y indeed!






NICE HOR! Until I realized that Candidasa is like almost the most ulu part of Bali...


And our hotel is like at the extreme end of the road, ulu-est of the ulu! THE LAST ONE. About 2 hours' drive from the airport?


OKAY, BIMBO MOMENT. >_< *silence*

Well, at least we are in paradise, because ulu = lesser tourists = more lomantic time together!  Beaches should be less contaminated too. *optimistic*

I was having a headache about transportation, because we're reaching pretty late and there should be no more shuttles in operation. Vexed, I chut MAX POWER when doing my Bali research and I found some driver contacts! 

Finally I booked Agus, a driver cum tour guide for my two-way airport transfer and a full day plus half day trip. It's about $185 after currency conversion I guess, but I have a feeling that it's going to be well spent! :) Agus responded to emails really quickly and I liked that. He's well-raved in Flowerpod and a few other websites, and here's his link.

Time to research more about where to go, and what to eat. *rubs hands in glee*
