My 3D drawings are out! Artist's impressions, think it'll look pretty different after we finished choosing laminates and stuff. :P

Renovation works resume post-CNY! Pretty fast... the workers are starting to lay tiles already! Think our house would most likely be done by end March... hee.

Going to select our laminates and doors next week! :D

Happy Chinese New Year from Mr & Mrs Chew!

This is our first year as a married couple, so I felt kinda excited. I can't say the same for the husband though, who had flown off to Yogjakarta and started work on 初二... poor thing hadn't slept much these few days too. :( But he's back today!

I can't help but feel that CNY is different for singles and marrieds.

Singles: YAY GOT ANGPAO! HUAT AH!
Marrieds: OMG SO MANY ANGPAOS TO GIVE *packs APs furiously on CNY eve*

Singles: Kanna asked "Eh, when getting married ah?" or "Got boyfwen anot? Want auntie to intro?"
Marrieds: Kanna asked "Eh, when having kids ah? Must fast fast give birth..."

Singles: Happily eat tidbits and soft drinks after 拜年 with two orlengs + receive angpao!
Marrieds: *kanna attacked by kids-tsunami during 拜年* D:

Singles: Shopping happily for shitloads of new clothes, bags, underwear, etc...
Marrieds: Queuing unhappily along the Great Wall of China line to change new notes at the bank. Oh, must remember to get the free angpao packets too! Maybe can "bank-hop" to get a few designs...

Not that it's a bad thing, just a major and inevitable shift in lifestyle which makes me rather amused.

It feels like my whole CNY revolved around whether I'll have a kid by the next CNY, which I didn't mind because it's good that people are excited, lol. But someone also asked about my contraception method (in front of my parents), and I was like... o_O;; okay, super awkward moment.

Anyways, also planned a little surprise for the husband this weekend for our post-Vday celebration. Hopefully it's delightful!
EVERYTHING has been going wrong for the past week. I'm vexed.

Work is already soul-stabbing, and then I still have to deal with so much shit. Sigh.
  1. SP Services: The husband went to our house yesterday and the maintenance guy only turned on the gas. He called the husband, who would be reaching the house in 10 minutes and said so, and said that he will wait. In the end, he didn't. Re-scheduled again this morning and everything's switched on now.

  2. Keys confusion when my ID wanted to go take measurements. I'm too lazy to explain but my absent-mindedness had almost cost me - because I ended up having more downlights than I remember and almost bought extra lights.

  3. Our laminates cannot work in our current situation because of the stupid bomb shelter door. Still trying to solve this somehow - FML!!! LE SIGH times infinity. Trying to work out a solution now.
I have been rather bitchy recently, I know, but I really have no other venue to channel my angst.

So many unforeseen circumstances when renovation barely even started! :( Sigh. Hopefully everything will be smooth from now on.

Anyways. Hacking for the toilets and kitchen has already started, from 5th to 7th Feb. Oh, and we received our first conservancy charges bill from West Coast Town Council. $50+ per month. I haven't even started staying there yet, zzz.
