Almost wedded.

We just had our final 姐妹 meeting this morning, at North Point and I had alot of thoughts on the way home.

The realism of everything is setting in. "老娘 is having a wedding! ._." I'm going to be criticized by the husband for being so slow (again) but oh wells. D:

I've had people asking me "So how? Are you excited?" Yes and no. Yes because I'm sure it's going to be best event of my life. No because I'm a micro-managing a**hole.

My bridesmaids/sisters have been very encouraging and helpful throughout the planning journey, and I'm glad to have picked out really great ones. :D I feel and know, that these girls are doing their very best for me. It's strange, the way fate works, to be able to meet people that truly accept and believe in me, and they put in so much effort for me to be happy. You don't meet alot of people like that usually, but then there's this bunch. :) So blessed.

Thanks to them, I had a mad awesome bachelorette's party on 1st December

Hen's Night!

Crazy  bride-to-be. RAWR.
They arranged for a surprise self-shot photoshoot at Cheezz Studio! More photos to be uploaded later because my notebook currently does not have a CD drive to extract the pictures. >_< Then I was brought to Bugis+ to do a load of crazy things on a dare... I can only say, I die also will not step into Bugis+ for the next ten years. PAISEH DIE ME LOR. >_<" And then we went to K-Suites for ktv! I felt so heng sai because I can't drink to save my life so I'm not really into the clubs thing, plus I really like ktv (no secret there!).

It's the first time we went K-Suites and the sound system was really good! Food not bad too. However the staff there were damn stingy, don't let us upgrade room though not much people were there! It was 老娘's bachelorette's night leh! *rolls eyes* After constant haggling by my sister, they "upgraded" us to another room which was only slightly less claustrophobic. *rolls eyes again*

The night ended pretty early, with some logistics trouble I had with Gin Thye (long story, and I was super upset!) but I loved the night. Will remember this night forever. :D

The next day, I had my 過大禮. It was really a 過大禮 "party" where people come to collect cakes instead of having to drive everywhere to give them out! A stroke of genius.

Huat ah!
Believe it or not, I had about 65 cakes in total, not including the extra Bengawan Solo vouchers my mum bought. Can open cake shop already! I had one or two of the cakes (my mum bought extra, not from husband so I never break any traditions ok!) and they were yummy! I love traditional cream cakes with the gooey colourful syrupy things on top.

However there was a huge screw-up by Gin Thye. My mum ordered extra 15 boxes of Cantonese cakes and 2 of the boxes were wrong - they gave us cream cakes instead, which was okay lah... chin chye lor... But the thing was...

Looks nice from far right?
Look again! GINORMOUS PATCH OF MOLD!!! D:
The cakes looked good on top, but the sides were darkened... and there were cobweb-like stuff all around the cakes. What would've happened if we never opened up to check? People could've gotten food poisoning from this! I will be reporting this to NEA/AVA, possibly after my wedding. Imagine the contamination in their chiller for all the other cakes! Sigh. We forced them to replace the two boxes of cakes, and they still had the cheek to tell us to go collect from their outlet. It's like... "HELLO? I'm having my 過大禮 now???" =_= Then they relented and sent the two boxes to my door step eventually.

Other than that, overall, 過大禮 ended without much incident. :)

The countdown begins. SEVEN DAYS TO GO! D:
